LEICESTER will once again stage the 2025 Women’s British Open Championship after a successful event last season.
The competition will take place at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park on Sunday June 1, forming part of a meeting which includes a round of the British Youth Championship.
Last year’s Women’s Open title was taken by Celina Liebmann, who spent much of the season with Workington in the Championship, ahead of Teagan Pedler with Katie Gordon third after Rachel Hellowell fell on the first lap of the Final.
As the event moves into a third year there is expected to be further interest with standards clearly improving in 2024 as a result of an overall increase in participation and training.
Those riders wishing to compete at Leicester on June 1 should contact Neil Vatcher at neil@scbgb.co.uk for full details.
